Some time ago the requirements for moisture testing, grinding and drilling concrete changed.
ASTM 2170-18 changed from 72 hours to a 24 hour waiting period from the time sleeves are placed in concrete to do an RH test.
ASTM F1869-11, the calcium chloride test, and ASTM 2170-18 RH test for concrete have changed in how a site is prepared. When the concrete is ground for preparation of the calcium chloride test or holes are drilled for an RH test, a Hepa Vacuum with a self-cleaning filter approved by EPA standards must be used.
An updated version of the manual I wrote, “Basic Sub-floors and Moisture Testing” has been completed, and I have also added wood flooring systems which include 2X joists, floor truss, TJI system, single floor underlay and double floor underlay, along with basic knowledge of each.
